We translate microbiome complexity into clinically validated solutions for metabolic health.
We translate microbiome complexity into clinically validated solutions for metabolic health.

Postbiotics overcome many of these limitations. As inactivated microbial preparations, they can offer greater stability, consistency and compatibility with food, beverages and supplement manufacturing.
This makes them especially relevant for food, beverage and nutraceutical applications where stability, consistency and formulation flexibility are essential.

Metabolic health depends on complex interactions between nutrition, gut microbiota and host biology. Genbioma was created with the aim of better understanding those interactions and translate them into practical solutions.
Our mission is to develop clinically validated microbiome-based ingredients that support metabolic balance through safe, stable and reproducible formats.
By combining proprietary strain research, in vivo validation, human studies and collaboration with clinical and academic partners, we aim to advance a new generation of postbiotic solutions for metabolic health.

The gut microbiome is a highly complex biological system. Understanding how it influences metabolic balance requires the integration of microbiology, data science, in vivo models, multi-omics analysis and human validation.
Genbioma has developed a proprietary technology platform to identify, characterize and validate bacterial strains and postbiotic solutions with potential applications in metabolic health. Our approach combines advanced screening, mechanistic analysis and clinical evidence to select candidates with a clear biological rationale and a strong path toward industrial development.
We build our science around three principles:
Selecting candidates based on their potential to modulate key metabolic pathways.
Validating activity through preclinical models, human studies and real-world evidence.
Developing postbiotic formats designed for stability, scalability and formulation compatibility.
The result is a rigorous development process that connects microbiome research with clinically validated, industry-ready postbiotic solutions.
Genbioma was founded in 2019 by a team combining academic expertise, food innovation experience and a proven track record in microbiome-based product development.
The company was born from the convergence of two complementary strengths: academic research from the Public University of Navarra and entrepreneurial experience in the development of microbiome-based products, including the legacy of Pentabiol in probiotic innovation.
From the beginning, Genbioma focused on a clear objective: identifying specific bacterial strains with metabolic potential and transforming them into safe, stable and clinically validated postbiotic ingredients.

Today, that work has evolved into a growing portfolio of microbiome-based solutions, starting with pA1c®HI, our leading postbiotic ingredient for metabolic health applications.
